    Roku Streambar - Two Issues

Since there is no power saving for stream bar my unit rarely goes to sleep or deep sleep. Every once in awhile if everything is off and press Roku Home button it will turn on the TV. So it has something to do with power saving though it's not a setting the user can change.

Roku Streambar sound cutting out while using HDMI

Hello, I, like many others here, am incredibly frustrated with the constant audio cutouts (randomly, at least 2-3 times per hour, sometimes 2-3 times every 5 min) while using HDMI sources connected to the TV. This issue is beyond annoying — it's a total "show stopper". (no audio cutout observed when using roku OS, although not using it a lot). I've gone through all the usual "troubleshooting" steps: swapping HDMI cables, power cycling the Streambar, etc., yet the problem still persists. When I use another soundbar from a different brand with the same TV and cables, it works perfectly — no issues, for years. What is even more frustrating is reading this issue has been ongoing for years with no real solution. Roku’s typical response of "we will contact you separately" is just lip service — it does little for the community at large, the expected purpose of this site. If this doesn’t get fixed very soon, I’ll be returning this product while I’m still within the return window. It's a shame because when it does work, the bar offers great value, but this constant audio dropout is unacceptable. My model 9102EU | SW 13.1.4.1515 | device ID 2E1288XXXXXX

Streambar SE failure due to loose optical cable

My Roku 4 device stopped supporting Hulu and eventually the new version of Sling. I could no longer stream these services on my main living room TV although still could with my older Roku devices on my other TVs. After unsuccessfully trouble shooting with Roku and Sling I finally figured Roku wants me to purchase a new player and purchased the Streambar SE. This was successfully installed (needed to use the optical cable as my TV does not have HDMI arc). At this time the Optical Cable has pulled out of the Streambar - it does not click in to the StreamBar fully. No amount of troubleshooting fixes this problem and now I am out and in worse shape than ever (no sound can't stream anything). And now I can't for the life of me find a live agent to discuss. Thoughts? Buy a new cable from a 3rd party? Switch to a different brand streaming device? IDK it shouldn't be this hard to "save money" by streaming.

    Streambar SE to composite connection

I just bought a Streambar SE and am trying to connect it to an older Samsung hdtv with an hdmi port as well as composite connections. I used a monster digital to analog/analog to digital combo audio converter to solve the lack of an optical port and could only get sound from the Roku and not from the OTA channels. Will an onn hdmi to composite converter work? Will I need to use it together with the monster adapter? What can I do? Model Code:UN22F5000AFXZA Version no:FP002 S/N:Z6SQ3CPF221813M Thanks.

    crackling audio wireless soundbar

I have the roku wireless soundbar and this morning the audio was crackling. It made the sound blown out and crackling. This is the second time that this has happen and it starts happening a few months later. The only temporary fix that I have for it is a system restart.

Roku Streambar SE "Video Playback Error (-5) unsupported audio format" Retry/Cancel"

I am having the same issue! Trying to use a Streambar SE on both an Emerson and Vizio TV. They are connected by HDMI cable only (not the optical cable because neither tv have this port). The error ["Video Playback Error (-5) unsupported audio format" Retry/Cancel] occurs only when I am using the app REAL CHOICE TV, and when I try to access a channel anything other than local channels. The fix I was offered by my ISP was to change the Audio setting to STEREO, but there is no such setting on the Streambar SE. I have a Roku Streaming Stick+ and the fix DID work on this device on an identical Emerson TV. As a presumably more advanced piece of tech than the Stick+, how do I get the fix to apply to the Streambar SE? I've invested $200 in these devices and would love to be able to fully use them.

What device should I buy for my TV?

Looking at purchasing Roku speakers/soundbar setup to help get tv sound into other rooms of the house. What would be the best devices to allow audio from the tv and the external device(s) simultaneously? I have a TCL Roku TV

Roku Streambar Pro issue with streaming

I have a Roku Streambar Pro with software version 13.1.4 build 1512. I have reset my router, I have unplugged the Streambar, and I have cleared and reconnected my wireless internet connection. The Network Status (under Settings > Network > About) shows its status as "Connected", but the LED light on the Streambar is red and I cannot connect to any streaming services (YouTube TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime).

Roku wireless speaker stopped working on one side

Same issue. Can't find any way to contact Roku for a refund/replacement. They do not respond to any request. Is ROKU ripping us off ? Why no response to any inquiry ??
