Mine do on all 3 TVs. None worked well without ROKU after converting to fiber.

Basic Roku devices? Helpful if you'd state which models you refer to or if you mean Roku TV's 🙂 As to the question, WiFi is a technology whose speed depends upon the band (2.4 or 5 gHz or in some cases 6e) and best connection via the channel selected in router settings. The most common cause of problems is channel congestion so using a phone app like WiFi Analyzer tells the user how much congestion there is and which channels work best. Fiber or cable has little impact since WiFi speeds vary.
