Re: Roku Capping Bandwidth (Ethernet & Wifi)

Thanks for the link, @arcb13.  I found that adapter prior to asking, but it stated it doesn't work with Roku.

Have you tested that adapter with any other Roku devices other than your Roku Express 4K (2021) model?  And was that a 4K (model 3940) or a 4K+ ( model 3941)?

Thanks again!

Which Roku unit are you using?  Works with Roku Express and Roku Express 4k+

Re: Roku Capping Bandwidth (Ethernet & Wifi)

The new Roku Ultra 4802R. I know it already has an eithernet port, but so does my Sony TV and If I plug that adapter into it, I get much faster speed than the original port that came with the TV...

Re: Roku Capping Bandwidth (Ethernet & Wifi)

I don't believe you can use a USB Ethernet adapter with any version of Ultra. I use WiFi with my 4800 and have speeds of 240 Mbps, which is fast enough for my highest bitrate 4K video rips.
