My roku 1 has been disconnected from the wifi, my remote won’t work. I have downloaded both the roku app and Remoku app. To enter it manually for recognition I need the IP number which is not available because I can’t check it on my tv because the remote doesn’t work
If you are having trouble connecting to wifi network with the Roku 1, try configuring your router to use b/g/n "mode or protocol" on the 2.4ghz band.
If the Roku can connect to your wifi after making this change in the router, then both the mobile app or Remoku should be able to find it. (with Remoku, the scan may not work, but should after manually entering the LAN IP address.) Therefore, make the change in the router, then use the Roku mobile app as remote. After that, should be able to use either app or Remoku.
Do not Factory Reset the Roku 1. Not only do you need a physical remote for a factory reset Roku device, the older legacy devices will likely not be able to connect to the Roku server to install OS during a factory reset, so will likely end up with a bricked device.
... also, your Roku has no innate IP number. IPs are assigned by the router at the time the connection is made.
