Re: Issues with WiFi connection for Roku TV xfinity

If you are receiving a 14.40 error code, try changing your wifi password (remove any special characters, just use numbers and letters) and then restart both the router and the Roku device again.

Feel free to post update and include any error messages/numbers you may be seeing.

I followed those steps of changing the password to the wifi and then resetting the router and roku, and I’m still getting an error 014.10 saying unable to connect to wireless network.

Ok, error 14.10 is a bit different than the issues in this thread.

Try these.

1. On the Roku device, go to Settings/System/Advanced System Settings/Network Connection Reset/Reset Connection.

2. If still a no-go, try connecting to a mobile hotspot (if available).  Since the 3920 is a 2.4ghz-only device, make sure your hotspot is using the 2.4ghz band or "maximize compatibility" in the hotspot settings.

3. If able to connect to a hotspot, then the culprit is with the router/network setup so need to go back and double check that the 2.4ghz band is actually working and able to connect to the internet. (give it a unique name so you can verify that the device is actually connecting to the 2.4ghz band)

----

Post back with router model number if still having issues and if doing any of the above gave you a different error message number.

@Sarah10

The 14.50 is back to a password issue.

Are you sure that you do not have any spaces or special characters in the SSID (network name) or the password?

And you have checked that you have not "paused" the Roku device from accessing the internet in any Xfi app?

I am wondering, though, since you received 14.50 in both hotspot and Xfinity, that you may have been connecting to the public wifi/hotspot of the Xfinity Gateway and not your mobile phone's data hotspot.
