I get error codes 14 and 16 because I cannot read the tiny symbols on the alphabet and symbol selection screen to choose an asterisk. Resolution too low or symbols too small. The TV is a small bedroom model. Does a high resolution photo of the symbol selection screen exist to help me locate the correct symbols?
I managed to solve the problem by surpressing my impatience and going back to the 65 inch Smart TV in the basement, to pretend to reconnect to the network thus bringing up the password alphabet and symbol screen that is large enough and high resolution enough to read and locate the asterisk position. Then I went back to my office, also in the basement, and reinitialized the router. Then I went back to the upstairs bedroom and reinitialized the Roku stick. I then started from scratch and by being able to insert the network password without being able to recognize the symbols on the small, old technology screen (by knowing their correct position), I crossed my fingers and clicked on "connect". Green checkmarks in all the boxes. IT WORKED!
Thank you for being patient with me. I still wish I did not have to have a big screen high resolution TV to read the password alphabet and symbol popup screen to connect to the network.
Hi @LostInTechToo,
A warm welcome here in the Roku Community!
Thanks for reaching us about this. We're here to help. Could you share with us a picture of the issue you're seeing along with the TV make/model? We'd like to take a closer look.
Please keep us posted
