2 androids - only one connects to roku

I am having trouble connecting one of my android phones to my roku device. I can connect my 2nd (other) android device.

I've, rebooted

I've checked that all are on public ip and same network

Oh yes, the roku app says there is no wireless connection, when I clearly do have a connection.

Re: 2 androids - only one connects to roku

Hi @TJMcK,

Thanks for posting to the Roku Community!

We're happy to help you connect your Android phone to the Roku device. We'd like to know more about the issue that you ran into. Please provide us with more details.

  • Is your phone connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Roku device?
  • Is your mobile device connected to a VPN?
  • What Android version are you using? (The Roku app for Android is compatible with Android devices running Android version 5.0 or higher.)

With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further. In the meantime, you can also check out this link here for troubleshooting steps to connect the Roku mobile app to your Roku device over Wi-Fi.

Best regards,

Eunice
