Using your smart home devices

When vacation mode is set for a group, will all lights in group cycle on and off together?  Or do they cycle randomly and independently?

Also, can I set vacation for just one of the lights in the group?

We are here to help you with your concern regarding the Roku Smart Device in vacation mode. Please note that the Roku Smart Home app does not include a vacation mode feature. Are you referring to your Roku Smart Light? If so, could you please provide more details about it so that we can assist you further?

Yes, referring to smart lights. The app does indeed have a vacation mode for the lights. Please see title and text description in my original post.

Thank you for the clarification. You are right, vacation mode features are available on Roku Smart Lights. We would be more than willing to provide you with further details. When enabling Vacation mode for your smart lights, you can set it up for each individual device or for groups of devices. Please follow the details below:

1. Tap Home from the navigation bar
2. Select your bulb or light strip, or select a device group
3. Tap Settings
4. Toggle Vacation mode to on

Thank you, we are getting closer to an answer.  But the question is, when vacation mode is set up for a group, will every smart bulb in the group cycle off and on together, or will they independently cycle off and on within the vacation window?

After some tests I have concluded that the entire group will cycle off and on together.  Each light in the group will NOT act independently when in a group.  So only way around is to remove light from group and set up multiple schedules to turn in off and on as needed.  Also, vacation mode did not activate at 6:00 PM as stated, it was an hour late.  Probably something to do with time zone or daylight savings time where ROKU server is located.

While a promising feature, vacation mode needs a lot of work and flexibility in the settings.  IE: flexible start and stop windows to accommodate longer and shorter days, scheduling within the vacation window, lights in the group working independently, etc...
