Roku needs more robust parental controls. We need, at the very least, (1) a kids mode/profile that one can restrict to specific apps etc. and (2) an app PIN feature, whereby all apps and menus are locked behind a PIN.
Does Roku really have nothing of the sort? Google TV, Fire TV, and Apple TV all have something similar. Even the least of these three is miles ahead of Roku on parental-control features--I don't get how that's possible.
I was just about to place an order and replace my Fire TV with a Roku, but given the lack of global parental controls, it ain't gonna happen. I hate Fire TV, but it comes with very robust parental controls--better even than Google's.
