There are many "channels" on Roku that I find offensive.  My solution? I don't watch them!  That concept seems to have eluded Roku and (I suspect) some of Roku's advertisers.   PornHub has announced that their Roku channel will be banned, as of March 1st.     Roku has evidently followed the dystopian mentality of the Chinese, North Koreans and a number of Middle Eastern countries...Roku has opted for censorship.  Goodbye, Roku.  Your pretense of providing a variety your viewers can choose from has been dispelled.

It's sad you purchase a television and now Roku has the nerve to tell you what they want you to watch..

If I want to view porn in my home on a television I paid for it should be my right..

Since when has Roku become  communist,,they must be owned by Putin..

Roku has not censored other alternative lifestyles....gays, pot smokers etc.....DON'T CENSOR PORNHUB!  Those who don't like it don't have to watch!

I saw what PornHub posted, and I looked into it. PornHub was not being truthful. Roku has not banned it.

What happened is that in October, Roku announced publicly the revamp of the app development system, and 120 days later, removed all non-certified apps as they said they would.

You see, all along, all apps were supposed to go through certification, and Roku had a non-certified repository for apps to be used while development was completed and the app certified. Some developers simply stopped at this point.

Currently, Roku has a 120-day limit on beta apps, with a limited number of users as a test base. All apps must be certified and meet coding standards before being allowed in the Channel Store.

And as for Roku banning adult apps? The Channel Publishing guidelines include marking an app as Adult. So, somebody has been giving you bad information. Don't trust those people.

They have Newsmax, AON, etc which are repulsive but ban Pornhub. Puritans!
