Yes! Please add the ability to remove the QR code! It completely ruins my use-case. And if you could add a feature to change the timing and the transition, that would be wonderful as well. Also update the app so I can script adding photos via a Shortcut. And enable multiple delete.
I’ll join in that I want the option to remove the QR code. Why are you ignoring something obviously so many of your customers want?
Echo the same as everyone else. Please allow us to remove the QR code.
It's been enough time Roku. Take some of that AD revenue you're getting from selling our every movement and remove, please.
Yes, please remove the qr code that I DO NOT NEED in order to add pictures. It’s making me look around for a different way to stream my photos as a screensaver.
I add my request to prevent these codes from appearing on top of my photos. Very distracting.
I am adding my voice to the crowd making this request. There’s absolutely no reason to have the QR code stuck in the middle of our beautiful pictures that we would like to look at. We know how to find it. The amount of time that you’ve left this unattended is incredibly poor customer service. I will definitely be looking somewhere other than Roku for my future needs Wtaf? 🤷🏻♀️
Definitely needs to be a way of removing the QR code from the screensaver photos
Roku, Please remove or make optional this QR code, it’s not needed and is an eyesore.
Additionally, please provide this community with the status of this CS request. Has it made it to any scrum sheets, and what is an ETA for completion? Thanks.
It has now been over 2 years since the suggestion about an option to remove the QR code was first made. I used Roku's PhotoView app quite happily for many years, but the most recent Roku software update appears to have killed PhotoView.
In addition to the issue described in above image (which appears when opening PhotoView from the Roku homepage), PhotoView has intermittently stopped displaying screensaver pictures altogether for the last week or so. Removal and reinstallation of PhotoView has not helped. I resorted to trying Photo Streams and have been sorely disappointed, the QR code issue being by far the most serious complaint. It may be time to conclude that there is no Roku employee who really cares about customers as anything but sources of revenue. Hope that PhotoView's promised March 2025 restoration of functionality in Roku will actually come to pass!
