Being in talks is one thing. Coming to agreement is another. These are business decisions with both sides trying to maximize their deal.
But note that Roku does not create the channel apps, the channel owners do. Roku just provides the platform on which they run. Discovery Plus won't be on Roku until Discovery supplies the app.

I get that. I am saying please come to an agreement. If you come to an agreement they will provide the app.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to get the Science channel? The cost without adverts is under 10$ a month, it offers an extensive list of stations. There are so many advantages to adding this tile.
I know the customer is the last thing considered in any business negotiation, you owe me nothing. But if I don't ask you can't say yes!
Thank you sincerely tho, for noticing the post at all. That in itself is refreshing.
Stay safe, have a lovely month.

ROKU's 2020 3rd Quarter Earnings = $452 Million - and they have 46 Million users which means they are making around $9.82 dollars from users each quarter. Heck if it was me I would be happy to earn 3-4 dollars a quarter, but then again I have been called cheap often.
Seems they are doing well - if they would stop being too pushy to earn as much as possible and become more concerned that their USERS are well taken care of? It would better for all.
Typically negotiations mean one wants more than the other - and of course neither one will admit they are wanting more than the other. This is a problem for all consumers - the corporations are only concerned about making as much money as possible and could care less about the end-users who 9 times out of 10 will pay more, simply because they fail to understand how to stand up to money-grubbing corporations.
All I can say is USERS need to do GOOGLE searches on corporations and when done would soon discover - most could care less about their end-users. It is up to end users to band together and let the corporations understand how they feel about them.

I believe that was revenue, not earnings...

So what!?!? RenB it's irrelevant what you are providing concerning the app being added by whichever streaming channel in question: DISCOVERY+ because once the agreement is reached. The app will be made available, Period.

Discovery+ is now up and running, so no more waiting and wondering if. Totally worth it! Just go to search on your home screen and you'll find it quickly....

That is true that big business holds all the cards,
I got an email today that got me all excited, the email stated that Discovery+ was now available at $4.99 with commercials and $6.99 without, well silly me, didn't I just try to sign up right away - WHAT A JOKE ON ME. How shameful is it that the States has it available thru Roku and yet in Canada we are deprived.

And add to that, when it becomes available in Canada, it will be higher priced than in the United States as everything else is. Maybe go to roku.ca and post the same message as the channels and content differ from the United States and Canada.
