Re: [OS 14] YouTube TV freezes when fast-forwarding
You can clear the cache but that only solves the problem for a short while then it reoccurrs. This is maddening and ridiculous. I have 11 Roku devices. Does it happen on the new Ultra? #4660x

Re: [OS 14] YouTube TV freezes when fast-forwarding
Also bought the new Google streaming box, have not seen any freezes yet.
The freeze issue is particularly bad when you are traveling. When you travel you basically can't record any live sports due to youtubetv's legacy type carry agreements. So you just stay on your event. But if you pause it and start building up buffer, which is normally good since you can skip commercials, it is not good now since you will get a freeze and then have no option except to go out and then back into your live event, ie you are forced to catch up to "live", and then miss how many minutes/hours you had buffered.

Re: YouTube TV Fast Forwarding Issue on OS 14
Hey everyone,
We know some of you are having trouble fast-forwarding in the YouTube TV app.
We're working closely with Google on this, and they're currently working on a fix.
Since many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel providers themselves, we recommend reaching out to Google support directly with your feedback. They're the ones who decide on and add new features to their channel.
For any other issues you encounter with the YouTube TV channel or other Roku channels, feel free to start a new thread in the Community.
We're going to mark this issue as resolved.
Thanks,
The Roku Community Team

Re: YouTube TV freezes when fast forwarding DVR program
I have 2 Roku s and 2 TCL tvs and all do the same on YouTube tv...so frustrating..now just had new update on my ultra and it freezes and has rebooted 4 x in 2 days. Many times when we try to rewind something, our Roku's freeze up and then reboots. I travel and have two different routers and it still does it at both places...OMG!!

Hey everyone,
We’re aware of the issue with the YouTube TV app freezing when fast-forwarding through DVR.
The good news is that this should be fixed with the upcoming OS 14.5 update, which we're rolling out over the next few weeks.
In the meantime, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > Software Update > Check Now.
If you’re still experiencing the issue after updating to OS 14.5, let us know!
