They did bring it back...sort of. On the latest Ultra (4802) there's a special "custom" setting that allows you to select DD+ and it does work. But...and this is a big but, if the content doesn't isn't encoded in DD+, it will dumb the audio down and only provide left, center and right, but no rear channels. So you pretty much have to select in each time, or just live with it downconverted to Dolby Digital. They should just incorporate DD+ into the "auto" setting to it can auto-detect it like very other audio format. They had a big issue with downcoversion when they incorporated Dolby Atmos.
