I am so disappointed with both Roku and Tablo! they both want to point fingers and nobody is doing anything! I am going to file a report with the Better Business Bureau and research which other agencies have oversight, and file a complaint with them as well. In the meantime, I have done what others have done by getting a Fire stick. It is a good thing these Engineers don't work for NASA!
The response or lack there of is totally unacceptable! You mark the issue closed, but do nothing! I hope you realize how much business you have driven away! I know I will NEVER buy another Roku product and after spending 40 years as an Industrial Instrument Technician, I am disgusted with your lac of professionalism. I could not have imagined even leaving for the day if I had pushed out a bad software update, let alone still not have it fixed after 2 months!
I fixed mine. Seems the ROKU has to be hooked up to a Dolby Digital capable device for Tablo to play since the new version of their app won’t play on only a stereo capable device.
Same problem but with my 2 Roku sticks 3960x and 38020R2. The Roku loads the first screen but when I try to select a recording it immediately unloads the recordingvand will not play it.
This should not be marked resolved, people need to be able to read it and Roku needs to have it forefront on fixes that need to be done. Roku should also program a rollback feature so that in the meantime, since it's been 2 months, so that this and future software updates are not a long-term waiting for a fix.
In addition to my 2 streaming sticks that stopped running Tablo recordings after software update version 14 was installed my Roku 3960x Roku Express stopped working properly as well. I guess I'll have to switch to Firestick.
Again folks, as far as ROKU is concerned, this is resolved on their end. They made a change to how they handle the sound files from the Tablo live recordings and live tv, in their most recent update to V 14. I guess their view is that it's now up to Tablo to do something and Tablo is, in fact, fixing this on their end.
Whether Roku was right or wrong to make this update without consulting with the partners who have applications on their platform, well that's another matter. Obviously they didn't bother to consult Tablo about this change and they have no intention of doing anything about it. Take that for what you will.
My problem developed after the software update which loaded on 11/14/24
No problem using Tablo on other TVs with no Roku interface.
