The TV that works with the roku and tablo is an older 720p tv. That may be why it works. The TV that doesn't work is an 1080p. I do not have any 4k tvs.
Both of my TVs are not 4K and when my Rokus updated to ver 14.0.4 Build 12221 I could not see any of my OTA channels on mt Tablo gen 4. Sharp LC-46D65U and LG 24LB4510. The new Google TV worked on both TVs with my Tablo Gen 4! Over 2 weeks now one of my Roku 3941X2 updated to Ver 14.0.4 Build 1221 stopped working with my OTA channels on my Tablo Gen 4. My other 3941X2 went down 5 days ago when it up dated to 14.0.4 ver 12221.

It's been 3 weeks..........
Had to pull out an old Chromecast I had sitting in a drawer for 3-4 years in order to watch football on my local's this weekend since ROKU seems incapable of figuring out what they broke or rolling back the update. And I did not hate it. It worked flawlessly with the Tablo. It is getting close to making a change for greener pastures with a device that does what it is supposed to do.
It's been 3 weeks.......... we are past calls for patience
I had to buy a Google TV stick to replace one of my rokus just for use with Tablo. After having JUST purchased the two rokus a month ago for this very purpose, as part of my cord-cutting, this was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
As others have said, I believe the workaround is to roll back to the last working 13 version or to push 13 again as a new 14 update while you figure out what's going on. You have enough people having responded with their information about the device and the problem that you shouldn't still be asking for more reports it would seem... a band-aid should not have taken 3 weeks (and counting)
I've received all of the requests for model of Tablo, software version of Tablo, TV brand, model etc. I have 5 different TV's of 4 different makes! Which got me thinking, what is the TV in my RV? Insignia, with Amazon Fire built in. Went out, turned it on and began the download. Until now, I have never received local TV on its puny antenna. Suddenly I could watch local TV with no problem.
Roku can say what they will, but Roku will not function for me, Amazon Fire in the RV did. Roku needs to stop snipe hunting and placing blame and sort their problems out. Surely there is some sort of change log that they keep when they revise software, start there. Use proper problem solving techniques, not blame placing. Looks like I need to order several fire sticks from Amazon and throw the Roku in the weeds!
Good Luck!
We don't have any 4k tvs
Tablo works on the TV that did not update to 14.0
Google works great now.
Probably ditching all the ROKU stuff.
Not happy with the slow fix.
Google stick works great
Amen!
