Sounds keeps cutting out on Roku express

When is this going to be fixed. I have tried new hdmi cables, rebooted and updated roku software, all replies from multiple threads where this has been reported as a problem. This is the 3rd device owned where the sound cuts out every couple minutes for a few seconds. This happens in every streaming app hosted within the roku platform. No one at Ruku seems to take this issue seriously, passing it off as an old  cable or an out of date software issue. Each of these roku express devices have been purchased within the last two years 2022 to 2024. Please provide a REAL solution. Thanks

Re: Sounds keeps cutting out on Roku express

I have been stressing about this for several weeks and could not figure it out. Around the same time as the sound cutting out, my plex server started locking up when I would watch anything with subtitles on. I only have Roku and it was happening on every tv. I installed plex on my Xbox and the sound did not cut out. I checked Netflix and then Prime and the sound did not cut out. I turned on subtitles on my Xbox and my plex server did not die. I asked some local brothers who were fire stick people who went over to Apple TV and they lent me one, no sound issues and my server did not die. I picked up a new Roku Stick and it updated and I had sound issues and my plex server died when I turned on subtitles. My Roku TV does not have sound issues, but if subtitles are turned on in Plex, the server dies. I took the Roku Stick back to Wally’s stating that it was broken and told them why and I ordered a Fire Stick 4k max that will be here tomorrow. Roku is lying when they tell us to replace the HDMI cable, it to reboot it, or completely reset it. I don’t know if they know what the issue is, but clearly they did not do quality QA on whatever update they pushed out. If that is hard to sink in, the Roku Stick’s are the HDMI cable, the reboot is only restarting it, the factory settings only works until you connect it to WiFi and then the updates start coming down. The product is not inferior, the software is becoming a problem. They are getting beat by every other product in their market and they don’t have the proper capital to fix it or compete. Eventually, Roku will become Redbox, or Blockbuster. They had a great product but could never control it.
