Solving playback issues

So yesterday I was watching a movie and all of a sudden it was on HBO Max I did not select HBO Max when I tried to go to the home screen it will bounce back to the HBO Max when I tried to play any of my streaming apps it will bounce back to HBO Max. I tried resetting I tried sending it back to the factory condition nothing worked. I know it's the Roku issue because I went on my television to the main menu and I have to watch apps for my television which is very limited because it's older model and it doesn't have all the newer apps like the newer TVs. It's very disappointing Roku made it clear they won't help me because I don't have one of the high-end models wasn't aware of that and it's not fair has anybody experienced this?if you have any helpful information it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have an HBO or Max button on your remote?  Is it stuck?  Try taking the batteries out of the remote and using the mobile app as a remote to see if it still happens.
