Siriusxm on Roku not getting past home screen

Jump to solution

I have a numerous devices with SiriusXM on them (including a Roku 4 and a brand new Roku Ultra 4802R). All the devices stream SiriusXM except the Roku's. The Roku's go to what looks like a initialization screen and then jump back to home.

This started a couple of weeks ago (about the time of the CrowdStrike outage). I was hoping the outage was the issue. Based on the fact that even Delta Airlines is back to normal, something else is going on. Having read posts from the past several weeks, I'm not alone. Curiously, it appears that there was another Roku-SiriusXM outage in late 2022. I've performed all the troubleshooting suggestions (remove/reinstall SiriusXM, reset and reboot the Roku, shift to another internet provider). None worked.

The Roku Ultra arrived this morning. After setting it up, I tried SiriusXM, I encountered the same issue as on the Roku 4. This appears to be a connectivity issue between Roku and SiriusXM. It doesn't matter to me who dropped the ball, just that the issue gets fixed.
