Roku Ultra dropping out and unexpectedly switching

I bought the 2024 ultra a few weeks ago and use a newer Samsung TV. 
After I finish watching something on the USB and then press home when I next select YouTube TV the Roku occasionally blacks out (Black screen) and button pushing does nothing, the only way to get it back is by unplugging and plugging it in again. 
The HDMI cable, remote and power supply is the one provided with the unit. 
This is my third ultra purchased over the years as I always upgrade when a new one comes out… every unit has eventually shown some issue usually related to firmware. 

Not very cool.

To help us understand the issue better, please let us know more about...

  • Have you tried the device on the other TV to see if the issue persists? If not, we would recommend trying to isolate the issue even further. 
  • Is this only isolated to YouTube TV, or is it happening across all channels? 
  • Have you received any recent updates before the issue happened?
  • A photo or short video of the incident.

In the meantime, will you please supply the following details below so we can dive into this matter?

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and Software Version. (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times, and provide us with this ID)
  • If the issue is isolated to a specific channel, please provide the Channel build version (Highlight the app from the Home Screen and press the Star * Button)
