Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Have you made sure that the input (sometimes referred to as source) matches the one to which you have the Roku player connected?
We would also recommend performing the troubleshooting steps below:
- The video cable is not connected properly or the cable is faulty
- Check that the video cable is firmly connected to the back of your Roku player and to the HDMI or composite connector on the TV.
- If you can, check to see if you have a faulty cable by connecting your Roku player with a different cable.
- There is a problem with the TV
- Try connecting the Roku player to a different input on the TV to see if the problem is with the connector on the TV.
- Try connecting the Roku player to a different television to see if the problem is with your Roku player or the TV.
- If all else fails…
- Disconnect and reconnect all cables including the power cable.

Same here I have troubleshooted this unit and im in disbelief bought it a year ago couldn't get it going got sidetracked streamed on another device and today was dead set on getting it going the tell tale sign that its a defective unit right out of the box is when u hold reset button in and the white light never blinks to indicate it was factory reset but of course tried different cords and tv screens even this is dead out of the box here is the kicker this is my second Roku device the first one at least worked a year before dying no light ever came back on . I absolutely will not spend money again this unit never worked I need to talk to someone in customer relations perhaps ?please contact me directly regarding this mishap my model # is 3700X and Serial 7G26A4522284 aka DOA please make this right anyone in support

Can you please verify how are you powering the device? Is it plugged into the TV USB port, or is it plugged into the wall outlet with the provided cables? In addition, have you tried using another HDMI port on your TV to see if you are seeing the same issue?

Mine did the exact same one minute was working then just stopped the light comes on but does not connect to the TV done the reset nothing happened took all plugs out blowed into all the sockets in case dust was in there left unplugged for 2 minutes changed hdmi in the TV still nothing I have light on the Roku box but still just blank on the tv

Hello
I have an roku express that I am experiencing a solid white light and no response when using the controller or the app. I made an attempt to troubleshoot the roku following the instructions of trying different combinations of HDMI and power sources, original and alternative HDMI and outlet wires, 2 different TVs, but nothing was able to fix it and bring the picture or sound back.

Roku Ultra was working fine up until recently. Now there is a solid white light indicating power, but no video/audio output through hdmi. Have completed all troubleshooting and have arrived at the conclusion of it being a faulty unit. There is no response from the unit when I hold down the reset button.
