New Ultra-Plays start-up Roku song, then goes silent

I've been using a 4k stick for over a year with no issues. I have a sound bar connected via optical cable to the LG TV. 

Just connected a new Roku Ultra today and other than the little start up dancing ROKU song, it will not play sound. I have restarted everything(separately and together). I have set the sound to Dolby as another post recommended for no sound. I have triple checked that the TV is NOT on mute(it wouldn't play that startup song if it was anyway). I don't know what to do next.

Ideas?

Thanks for the post.

If you disconnect the soundbar, are you still experiencing an audio issue?

For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried connecting the Roku device to another TV to see if you are experiencing the same issue?

Please keep us posted what you find out and we will be able to assist you further.
