Need help with Roku turning itself on

I posted abt this a few months ago but I didn’t really get any help. It’s taken to turning itself on and opening Netflix. This happens upwards of 10-12 times a day. It’s happened four times in the past two hours. I’ve read that it could be an issue with the remote so I removed the batteries. It still does it. It’s driving me nuts. I don’t want to have to unplug the thing every time I shut off the TV. It only opens Netflix, nothing else.

It’s a unit separate to the TV, remote has the batteries removed, don’t have the Roku app, etc. it’s as barebones as it can be. Is there ANY way anyone knows about to stop this other than unplugging the **bleep** thing?? I feel like I’m losing my mind. If I hear the Netflix noise one more time I might scream. Please help me

Re: Need help with Roku turning itself on

Something is sending a command to your device.  If it's a stick, then it would have to be a faulty remote that's paired to it or someone using the app to mess with you.  If it's not a stick, put it in a box or otherwise shield it from any possibility of a stray signal reaching it.  If the problem goes away, then we can proceed from there.
