I have a Roku stick model 3810X on one TV and I've unistalled and re-installed the app on that TV and it still has the same issue. I have a brand new Roku TV in my bedroom and it's doing the same thing.

We get that you are having trouble with the NFL+ channel which is crashing back to the Roku Home screen. Our Roku-appropriate team is already aware of this issue.

To investigate the issue further, please provide us with the following: 

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • Channel build version (highlight the channel and press the star (*) button of your Roku remote)

Re: NFL app disconnects after 2-3 minutes

It seems that this problem corrects after NFL has put up the new video with no ads. This usually take them 10-12 hrs. or so. The version with ads will no longer play. This is a new problem starting Jan 7 or 8th.

The correction has happened on my TCL Roku tv both the 13th and 14th. Very disappointed to be forced to wait hours to see a replay that I have paid for. Not sure whose update caused this problem but it is a very important problem to lots of people. If it is not a Roku problem I trust that Roku will put pressure on the NFL to get this straightened out asap.

This is 100% a great description! One other thing that starts happening: right before the ungraceful app exit, the trick play responses slow waaaaay down.

I think last time this happened, Roku or NFL had to update something to do with HDCP. An invalid license or handshake or something that caused the app to EXIT prematurely.

NFL Plus App keeps closing and going back to Roku home page when replaying NFL games

We have never had a problem with the NFL app automatically going back to the Home Screen until now.  I can stream on my phone, but every TV/Roku device in my house always takes me back to the home Roku screen after a few minutes of the replay working.  We have tried to remove and reinstall app with no luck, tried multiple tvs and Roku devices, and verified network connection is fine.

Hi.  I won't be able to get the Roku device information until later, not at home right now.  This is happening with three different tvs and three different Roku devices though.  The Roku devices are not all the same model/vintage either.
