So I have all rokus throughout my home. All running new 14 updates. All devices will not play live or recorded on tablo BUT my 2 Roku tvs ( one TCL and the other a Onn) both with same 14 updates have no problems. Wtf??? Same software only difference is hardware???? I have roku stick. Streambar, lite and 2 other devices and all have playback issues..
Yep. This is what’s happening. Tablo says they are working on it. I don’t think Roku is doing anything. They already have your money. They don’t care unless you are under warranty.
@Plddmc, it has something to do with the TV. I have multiple Roku devices that work while the same models don't work for other people. Just for fun, you might want to connect one of the devices that doesn't work to one of those Roku TVs. You'll probably find that it suddenly starts working. It's pretty clear that Roku isn't going to revert the change. I've also been using an Amazon Fire Stick and while I don't care for its user interface, you don't have to worry about them breaking things that used to work.
Agree. My Panasonic and Samsung TV's don't work but Roku does work on Sony and Visio TV's. I've resorted to purchasing a couple of Amazon Fire Sticks for $22 and they work fine plus I don't have the problem with Tablo crashing when using CC.
That is if Roku is pointing to the correct Tablo version, 2.2.52, which I believe that it is not.
Same issue, 2 roku tv's tablo will not work, 2 firestick TVs tablo works fine. Ordered firestick plug in so I can watch tablo
Same issue as everyone on this string......with a twist. OTA channels won't play when the 2 TB expansion drive is plugged into the Tablo USB. With the device unplugged, everything works as it should. The audio settings work around made no difference in my environment.
Two Roku's and a Tablo. All devices are two weeks old and on the latest software. Expansion device is a Seagate 2TB disk drive, USB interface.
We contacted both Tablo and Roku several times about this problem. Both companies said they were aware of the problem and “working on it.” They asked us to send information (I can’t remember what it was) to help them solve the problem.
After several back and forths, thet said there was no timetable for solving the problem.
Here is my info, same problem on my Sony tv.
