Solving playback issues

For months, even after posting and help from Roku......

Randomly ALL 4 of my Roku models (not all the same model), the picture will freeze with no sound.  I can change channels and get the streaming working again.

Why is this happening and it's very frustrating ESPECIALLY SINCE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN WITH MY FIRETV!

My cable provide is Spectrum, which is also COX & Time Warner (probably others too).

This happens on local channels and other channels......

Any suggestions other than moving to FireTV on all of my TVs?

I’d definitely lean towards the Spectrum app being the source of your trouble since you’re seeing it on 4 different Rokus.  A further test would be to try other (non-Spectrum) apps.  If they work, and Spectrum doesn’t, then it’s pretty clear.  (Plus I’ve seen other threads complaining about the Spectrum app, so I kind of suspect them already.)
