IPTV app won’t load after working good for months

Jump to solution

i use iptv pro and it was working fine for 6 months. Now I can’t load it at all. I tried Smarters, a much better app, and same thing is happening. Some at least load but I’m not going to pay for them just to have them quit. Any ideas? I have the streambar, ultra and express plus. Using streambar in this problem

Hi, @SaulGoode @Webbjr

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We appreciate you for sharing with us your concern about the IPTV app on your Roku device, and we're here to assist. We recommend following the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the problem at hand.

  1. Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the star (*) key on your remote, and choose "Remove channel".
  2. Next, restart your device from Settings > System > Power > System Restart (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
  3. Once your player/TV starts up again, go to "Streaming Store" on the Home screen, and add the channel back once more.
  4. You may also refer to this link: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support
If the issue persists after performing the provided troubleshooting step, you may want to contact the channel provider's support directly and inquire further about this issue. They can provide a workaround or there might be a need to update their app on the Roku platform since most channels on the Roku platform are designed and maintained by the channel providers themselves.

Best wishes,
Kash

Im getting the same problem. I've got 2 streaming sticks but only have the problem on one stick strangely, even though they are both running the same version of software.

Pro IPTV is a paid for app which is linked to the device MAC address so I can't move it and now it's unusable.

I tried the free trial version of Smarters and that doesn't want to open either.
