I have xfinity but still can’t get ABC? I also have Hulu . Any suggestions?
If you have Xfinity TV, you can use the Xfinity Stream app. All channels should available when you are on your home network.
Get a antenna. Look at Amazon and get and idea what they are. The one I have goes for about 55. I am in attleboro and pick up boston and Rhode station clear.
Just setting a new Roku TV for the first time. Very disappointed it does not include SBS or ABC iView. Apart from that, it is easy to navigate and setup. Shall be lobbing the ABC.

Ian
Roku is only responsible for The Roku Channel. All others are written and submitted by the services or developers.
You will need to contact ABC directly and suggest a Roku app.
Looks like my thread has somehow been merged into an unrelated thread about ABC USA?
ABC iView (Australia) has nothing to do with local ABC USA channels.
Anyway, I contacted the ABC iView team and they said they have no plans to support Roku (apparently porting the existing app from TelstraTV Roku to regular Roku isn't straight-forward). Maybe Roku could reach out to them and offer some assistance with the porting to get them on board? If Roku wants to increase their stake in the Aus market, that is.
You can see if Haystack News, NewsOn, or LocalNow carry it. Otherwise, the media companies don't want to give stuff away for free anymore. Without an antenna, you will generally have to pay.
If you don’t want to subscribe to yet another service buy an OTA antenna. In my area, Austin, TX., using Roku the ABC affiliate was replaced with Dr. Phil’s own Merit Street Network. Oh Yay……😖!
Disney shut down and removed the ABC app. Roku had nothing to do with it. All platforms had their app pulled.
Roku can't force content providers (other companies) to entertain you on the terms you want. However, if you'll browse around a bit, I think you'll find there are many other channels available and some use business models that are compatible with you.
If you want to transition from (as opposed to add to) cable TV, then try not to get hung up on cable TV channels since many of those are still hanging on to the cable TV business model.
