Have to reset Roku Express 4 several times a day

I have a Roku Express 4 I have to reset Multiple times a day-at least 3, sometimes more. My "snooze after 20 minutes of activity" is set to "OFF"

Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions, short of taking a hammer to it and going with a Fire Stick or some other device?
Thank you.

@Teighernach-

If you are using a Roku device plugged into into the USB port on the TV for power, try powering from house power via a USB power adapter -- one may have been supplied with the Roku.

If your Roku didn't come with an adapter, or if you don't have a Roku adapter handy, a USB power adapter you have from another device should work as long as the fine print on it says it outputs at least 1 amp (1000 milliamps). More than 1 amp is okay, the Roku will only draw what it needs.

I'll give this a try. Many thanks. 🙂

Re: Have to reset Roku Express 4 several times a day

I just got my Express 4K and it installed all by itself.  However, the base kept blinking a blue light.  I unplugged the usb cord from the back of the base and hit the reset button then plugged it back in. The blue light went off briefly but came back solid.  Right?  Wrong!

Now it’s back to blinking again. Woe is me.  Any more “solutions “?

Re: Have to reset Roku Express 4 several times a day

Thanks for chiming in here in the Roku Community, @Testy!

We appreciate you reporting this to us. We're here to assist.

A blinking blue light indicates a connectivity issue on your Roku device to your internet.

Here are a few things we can check...

  • Make sure you are using the right network and password. If you do not know the password, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or the person who set up your wireless network.
  • Check if other devices can connect to the same Wi-Fi® network. Test your internet connection using a phone, computer, or tablet that is connected to the same network. If your other device is not working, contact your ISP for further help.
  • Restart your Roku device. To restart your device, you can unplug the power cable, wait a moment, and reconnect it, or follow the steps below to restart your device from the Settings menu.
  • Restart your router. Refer to the steps below for instructions on restarting your modem or router.
  • Test your Wi-Fi signal. Learn how to improve your wireless connection.

If none of these work, you can connect your streaming device to a mobile hotspot as a temporary workaround to ensure there is no problem with your device.

For more tips, see this support article: How to fix internet errors and issues on your Roku streaming device.

Please let us know if these help you.

Best of luck,
Emman
