This has been stated a million times already. The app developer is Fox News. Roku is only responsible for distribution of the app. Fox News is responsible for any bugs in the program, or how it interacts with the Fox News servers.
Roku is a unique operating system and requires different programming skills. Most all the other platforms are based on Android or iOS.
And if you had fully read those threads, you would know Roku is not responsible for bugs in 3rd party apps. Fox News wrote it and runs the servers. It's up to them to fix it.
If you are talking about the standalone app, that is written by and the responsibility of Fox News to maintain. Roku just distributes it.
By channel, if you are using a live TV service like YouTube TV or Hulu+Live TV, then check with them.
100% agree. If this is a Fox News issue, ROKU'S TECH manager should be on the job working with the Fox News Tech dept TO RESOLVE THIS ONGOING PROBLEM. Seems like ROKU might have lots of DEI hires. Mediocrity service at best!
As I posted in another thread, I doubt Roku can do much if Fox News doesn't want their help, other than pull the app entirely.
Thanks for the info and I will try to contact Fox directly but Roku would probably have a better chance of getting their attention than I would. They are an app based company. Not responsible = passing the buck.
nothing freezes but fox news... been happening for over a year! I write fox news on X & Messenger. I guess I'll try complaining on Instagram too.!
Your Link to Fox Help does not work.
We expect you, the company of Roku, to resolve this issue for your members. We don't care if it's the company with the app. We pay you excellent money to stream the stations we want. If they don't work, you, your company, Roku, should contact the company in question and get with their development dept. and figure out what the heck is going on.
Quit passing the ball. You all know that Fox News won't contact anybody just like you guys won't. This is probably the last Roku of anything I'll ever buy. Your support system sucks and this answer sucks too.
So sick of companies pass the buck and blaming someone else. Get with it, get with them and fix this issue. It's been going on for years!
So disappointed in your company.
