I'm pleased to report an acceptable resolution. I called Tennis Channel Support at the number listed in their FAQ and received a prompt call back from a knowledgeable representative. This specific issue is known to their development team and appears to be known to Roku's team, as well. It was explained that the resolution at this time is to recommend only the latest Roku devices as the legacy models continue to have the audio sync problem. The newest, currently-available devices, I was told, do not experience the audio sync issue on live broadcasts. I requested a refund for my annual subscription and it was promptly processed, in-full.
I'm not planning to upgrade all of my Roku devices at this time, but when I do I'll probably re-subscribe since the access to live matches is so robust.

How come Roku never stated this!!!!!! I get tennis channel live via a streaming service and have no issuesnow... But have to pay more. Roku should have made this known to us all but failed to!!! They knew all along just like I thought. Bogus communication by both..

I definitely wish I'd known ahead of time that anything but the latest Roku's have this sync issue. However, I have to give them credit for making it right.

Roku didnt make it right?It's on their platform that I GET APPS!!!! Tennis channel after many contacts no reason.. Its wrong.. May get rid of Roku.. Why do I have to buy all new equipment just for the tennis channel app on ROKU??. Or is this something Roku is doing to make people buy new equipment. Like what Apple does they stop updating iMacs etc after so many years...

Well, for TC's part I found them to be forthright about the issue once I inquired directly with Customer Service. I'll agree that they don't appear to advertise this issue anywhere. Maybe they were hopeful that the respective development teams would be able to resolve it. That appears not to be the case, though. For now, it seems that the only way to ensure proper streaming of live broadcasts over Roku is to use the currently-available device models. The did say that they don't see the issue on Fire Stick devices or Samsung SmartTV's. It seems to be limited to older Roku devices.

It's still very odd!!!!! All other apps work on my Roku and my Roku is not old!! Still get updates??!!It just bothers me that ROKU is very aware of this!! But kept mumm.. I call this bad business!! Should be reported before people pay!!!! to Tennis channel.....
