I bought a new ROKU SE Home Hub as I could find no information on the web about CGNAT compatability.
My Hub will not connect to the internet. I contacted ROKU customer support chat today and they assured me that the SE home hub would work with the TMobile Gateway CGNAT format.
Does anyone have any experience with that combination and if so did it work? Any workarounds required to get the hub online?
Tried again this afternoon
1. On ethernet from a Linksys MU9600 tied to a Tmobile gateway (CGNAT)
2. S21 Samung phone on the same network for 2.4mz
3. Follow instructions as written.
4. go to Home monitoring setup.
5. Hub initiates blinking blue lights (no idea what that means and no documentation) Not even on website
6. Instructions say takes 20 minutes (for just hub configuration? Who knows.
7. Press Roku monitoring hub and a partial message appears "LOAD....." No idea and no documentation.
8. Blinking blue light continue for at least 30 minutes and longer than I care to wait.
9. No error messages. No nothing.
10. And its the ISPs fault!
11. Unless someone has a clue, back to Walmart tomorrow.
I guess back to Walmart tomorrow.
Ok, I got it fixed save one door sensor that would not pair. These are WYZE clones. WYZE has a plethora of troubleshooting aids and their engineers are very responsive and smart. So, if you have problems setting up a ROKU Home system, consider talking to the folks that designed the system. ROKU is out of their league, not responsive, and blame it on the ISP. They closed my ticket twice and never confirmed that the system was CGNAT compatible. WYZE knew right away. In fact, their systems are the same price and if you need support WYZE is a hands down winner.
