Smart home app not connecting
Is anyone else having issues controlling the smart devices and connecting to the doorbells with the app?

I cant control any of my lights with my phone (neither can my mom or step dad who are also signed in) the only way we can turn on or off lights is through our Google home minis

Recently the only way I've been able to control my devices is with Google Home on my tablets or using my Google Nest Mini. It might be a software update glitch?

May we know what error message you're having with the app? Also, is this happening on the home screen of the app or inside the live stream of the camera?

Next day I was able to install my lights and a plug plus the app was responding normally. Today the app was not responding to turning on lights or plug. I signed out of my account and signed back in, since then everything is working again!?

Hi,
Join the club!!! I have the same issue so does a LOT of folks. By what I read on many treads in the community, the consensus seems to be that since the last recent update ,the Android version of the Roku app is broken! The only quick fix suggested by members (not Roku) is exactly what you did : sign out, sign in. My solution, like you, is to use Google home.

I have been having this same issue for a few weeks now (error message- 'failed to retrieve data') and the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the app. It's a pain.

I just did uninstal/reinstalled the app just minutes ago. Everything seems to work for now. I noticed that after the latest upgrade, I was on V3.2.2(441) and now after the reinstall, I am on V3.2.3(448) so this is an unpublished upgrade fix I assume?
Anyway, I will monitor my app to see if the problem reappears or not.
I will keep you posted either way in a couple of days.
