setting automatic subtitles
My Wife and I are both Hearing Impaired. To get the most from video presentations we need Close Captioning.
We have a constant problem with You tube and with some Amazon presentations. Every time that we sign in to You tube and sometimes with Amazon we have to activate Close Captioning. Is there a way for us to automatically get Close Captioning whenever we sign in to anything?
Many thanks! Kris & Sandra

Re: setting automatic subtitles
Greetings @Kris88
Welcome to the Roku Community and thanks for posting regarding your inquiry with closed captioning during playback.
Have you made sure to enable the closed captions within the Roku device as well as the channel itself? To enable closed captions for the Roku device:
- Press Home home button on Roku remote on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- To open the Captions menu, select Accessibility. If Accessibility is not listed, select Captions.
- Select Captions mode and choose when captions appear
For more information about how to setup closed captions on your Roku device, visit our Support page here: Turn on closed captioning.
Please keep us posted what you find out and we will be more than happy to continue assisting should you need further assistance.
Thanks,
Danny
