I have a set of HDMI encoders and decoders for an IPTV network setup. I have purchased and set up Roku Express 4K+ for my video sources on the encoders. My issue is I cannot get the decoders to receive video from the encoder when the roku is plugged into the encoder. I also have a NVR for a camera system. When I plug the HDMI into the video source on the encoder the decoders pick up the video from the NVR no problem letting me know the encoders and decoders are communicating properly at least for the NVR to function. However, as soon as I plug the roku back into the input on the encoder the decoders lose the video on the television.
Are your encoders/decoders HDCP compliant? You cannot display anything if there is a non-HDCP device in the HDMI chain.
Yes they are. Is there a specific protocol that I need to set the encoders and decoders to?
That I can't say. The best I can offer is the encoder must accept a 720p/1080p/2160p input signal with DHCP 2.2 protection enabled. Any other resolution and it won't sync with the Roku.
I'm not sure of the level of HDCP that the devices are rated for. Thank you for the information!
HDCP 2.2 is I believe the current version, and it's possible they might not work if your encoder uses 1.4.
