I recently got a tv that was already signed into someone account.  The remote control was broken so I started using Roku on my phone and it worked. I decided to reset tv and have it set up in my name.   When it factory reset it deleted information pair with my phone. Now I can’t get past the entry choice where I choose language. Do I need to download a new remote, order a new one or something.  What can I do to get this tv to work again.

The Roku app can only connect to a set that is already connected to your network

Now that you've Factory Reset the TV and erased its stored network information, you'll need a physical Roku TV remote to set your TV up again.   You can find them at Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc., and now from Roku. Be sure you get one for Roku TVs, not for separate Roku streaming devices, because Roku TVs and streamers use different sets of control commands.  Some universal Remotes are compatible also - again, be sure it has commands for Roku TVs.

Roku Voice Remotes, although more expensive, are compatible with all Roku TVs and are available from the same sources.
