The Roku Streaming Stick is connected to my Denon 7.2 Channel AVR via an HDMI. The Roku is outputting only 2-channel PCM eventhough my inputs are multi-channel. Somebody told me to setup the Audio Passthrough but I can't find on the settings that option. Is Audio Passthrough available on this device? Can somebody offer any solution so that I can have multi-channel output on my Roku?
Thank you.
It would help to know the model number of the stick as displayed under Settings->System->About. On my 4800 (not a stick), "Passthrough" is found under Settings->Audio->Digital output format.
Thank you, RenoJim, for your reply. My streaming Stick's model is 3820CA2, and the software version is 14.0. The stick is plugged into the HDMI port of the Denon AVR. The Digital Format Output has only Auto/Stereo/Custom settings. There is no mention of Audio Passthrough, even though it was advertised that it can handle passthrough. Some people on the forum are also searching for it. I followed Roku's suggestion on how to get surround sound but unfortunately, it is converting my movies which are multi-channel to 2-channel PCM. Maybe this stick does not support Audio Passthrough.
Thank you again.
