No “Input (source)” option on new install

Currently setting up my 5th Roku (I have set up maybe 20 or 25 total) but my new Roku express, the second of two new purchases, does not have an input source in the settings menu. I have done a reset, and a factory reset. But there is no place for my antenna to be scanned for channels. So frustrating. What am I missing?

Re: No “Input (source)” option on new install

@AngelaInKY-

Roku TVs (i.e. TVs with Roku capabilities built in) have antenna inputs and tuners.  You can scan for local channels and view those channels on them.

Roku DEVICES have no antenna inputs or tuners.  They cannot receive local antenna channels at all, but receive streamed content over the internet, which is then viewed on a TV or other display device..

Re: No “Input (source)” option on new install

Maybe I wasn’t clear. on all my other Roku devices, under settings, there is an option for TV inputs, where I can go to Live TV where I can go to live TV and scan for channels from my antenna. This particular device does not show that. Which is odd because I bought two of the same devices and the other one did, but this one does not.

Re: No “Input (source)” option on new install

@AngelaInKY, that's simply impossible.  All Roku devices get what Roku is calling "Live TV" via "The Roku Channel" app (to cause confusion as we see here all the time), but that has nothing to do with antenna channels.  You can add a shortcut to your Home Screen and/or Home Screen menu, but it won't get you antenna channels.  Only TVs support antennas and scanning for antenna channels.  You'd have to post a picture to prove otherwise.  No non-TV has any mention of input/source anywhere.  I'd like to know where you connected an antenna to that other "same" device since no Roku device other than a TV has an antenna input.
