My Roku keeps disconnecting after about 15 minutes of use and I have to restart it in order for it to connect to the network it does still show that the Wi-Fi signal is good even when it's disconnected and will not reconnect to the network unless I restart it or unplug it but then only lasts for about 15 minutes again and disconnects. I have the same Roku upstairs and I bring that one down and switched it out and that one works just fine it is actually right next to the router and I have looked through the community posts and done everything reset it reset the router and it has made no difference. What else can be the problem?
Hi @lanceswork69,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Thanks for letting us know about this issue you've had with your Roku device since it keeps disconnecting from your Wi-Fi. We're happy to help.
Signal strength can vary due to factors such as the amount of wireless traffic and the usage of other devices on your network. If the results from a connection check display poor or fair signal strength, or you experience connection or playback issues regardless of the results, try the suggestions below to help improve your wireless connection.
Eliminate wireless interference: Cordless phones, microwave ovens, or other wireless devices near your router can cause wireless interference that may affect the quality of your network connection. Move any such device away from your wireless router.
Reduce network usage by other devices: Devices currently accessing the network, such as other streaming players, computers, game consoles, and mobile devices, may affect the quality of your network connection. Temporarily stop using any such device and check if that makes a difference. You may need to reduce the usage of other network devices when using your Roku device.
