Hi, I’ve got a black screen problem with my TCL Roku TV. I tried all the techniques such as:
- Pressing the button on the remote to reset the TV
- Pressing for 30 seconds with a paper clip to factory reset
- Unplugging the TV for 30 seconds, etc.
Well, nothing worked, and now I'm trying to update the software with a USB, but the website doesn't recognize my TV's serial number and specs. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Can you see any picture at all if you shine a bright light on it?  If so, it's a hardware issue and no amount of updating it is likely to fix it.

If you can see a picture, most likely your backlight has failed.  It's common for these inexpensive TVs.  I hope it's still under warranty.
