Roku setup

I’m at my absolute wits end! I got a roku for my son to watch his teletubbies etc and it keeps rebooting and I don’t know that to do! Please don’t tell me to use a power cord, I am using a power cord. I have tried resetting but again nothing. If this is what roku has turned into then I don’t want it!! Was great and now turned into absolute trash! I have to set up my roku now around 7-8 times a day. That’s a bloody joke

You need to provide more details. What is the Roku device you're using? Model number please, not just the name. How old is the device? How are you powering it? I know you said you are using "a power cord", but is it connected to a USB port on the TV or a power cube that plugs into the wall? 

Can you provide the current version of the OS? You can find that under Settings/System/About. You can also find the model number there as well. 

Don't forget that when you uninstall a channel, you have to reboot the Roku before installing it again.

@adam543 your advice is not helpful. There is no setting to disable auto updates. The OP has already stated they have reset the device multiple times, as well as removing and installing the app.
