Display ratio issues when watching Directv
Hi:
I own a Roku TV (Onn). I have a Directv box connected with an HDMI Cable. The display ratio was never changed (16:9). However, last week it automatically squeezed the image to 4;3 ratio. I checked the display settings on the Directv box and they weren't changed. I checked the display settings on the TV and they weren't changed either. I also have a few streaming apps and they display fine (16:9 ratio).
I even tried connecting AV cables from the Directv box to the TV and the image still looks squeezed in.
Any help??

Re: Display ratio issues when watching Directv
If the original source material was produced in 4:3, it likely is still being presented in 4:3, perhaps with black bars on left and right to fill it out to 16:9. What specific program(s) are in question?
