Connect to a NON-ROKU soundbar - Bose Soundtouch 300

Jump to solution

I have a Bose Sound touch 300 soundbar which I need so I can connect my Bose Comfort 35 headphones to get better clarity from the TV.  Can the Roku unit be connected to this soundbar?  If so, how?

Hi @CharlesPatridge,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you for reaching out about this. I assume you have a Roku TV or a Roku streaming device connected via HDMI cable to your TV, right?

Here are a few things to take note of.

  • Roku TVs can only be connected or paired with Roku wireless speakers, so non-Roku soundbars are not compatible with the system.
  • To highlight, a Bluetooth device can be connected directly to a Roku Plus Series TV. If you have any other Roku TV system, you will need to pair Roku Wireless Speakers or a Roku TV Wireless Soundbar to add Bluetooth capability to your TV.

For Roku streaming players, you can only use the Bluetooth option, but it only limits Roku streaming devices that include the list below.

Compatible Roku streaming devices

The following Roku streaming devices have Bluetooth capability:

We've got some information that you can check.

We hope this answers your questions.

Thanks,
