I bought Acorn through Roku tv because of Black Friday promotion and I am struggling to find settings inside the app. Has anyone actually figured out how to turn off the autoplay setting inside the “Acorn on Roku” app?
I followed roku’s instructions i.e. settings- autoplay- off, which did not work.
I also followed the instructions given by Acorn Tv website, i.e. press * before show starts, only offers show info not a menu as they said.
I then contacted Acorn TV support via chat and was told to contact Roku support, which led me back to the settings- autoplay- off instructions which still does not work.
If anyone can offer me any real help I would greatly appreciate it.
I can't help with autoplaying the next episode, but the autoplay setting in the Home Screen menu has nothing to do with it. It only stops the very annoying autoplaying of previews as you navigate an app's content.

I have done all of the troubleshooting and tried all of AcornTVs and Rokus support directions multiple times. I only have one Roku device so that is not the problem. If there is no way to turn off the autoplay on the “AcornTV of Roku” app, please advise so I can move on.
If there actually is a way to do it, it is not listed in the Roku or AcornTV support documents or websites. Cutting and pasting the information I have already read and tried multiple times is not what I am looking for. I am specifically asking for new information from someone in the community, as the instructions available on the Roku website do not work. Thank you for your time.
