Roku setup

Hi I have just bought a 43" RCA Roku TV but despite setting up the TV, scanning the QR code and downloading the iPlayer and ITVx apps I cannot find them anywhere. I have check Roku Channels and Like TV along with Premium but nowhere to be seen. I also cannot get the Freeview Play button on my remote to work as it just takes me to the home screen. by ideas before I send it back? I am running the latest firmware v14

Are you in the UK?  Was your Roku account created in the UK?  Are you using a VPN or anything that might mask your true location?

Yes I am in the UK, I set my account up in the UK and I do not use a VPN. How would I check on the TV what location it is set to? I checked my account info but do not see anything.

I don't know of a surefire way to tell what region a Roku account is associated with (they really need one), but if you search the "Streaming Store" on your device for apps like "Channel 4", "BBC iPLAYER" and ITVX that are only available in the UK and they don't show up that's a good indication that something's wrong with your Roku account.  If you're logged into your Roku account and then go to https://channelstore.roku.com and look at the region in the bottom right corner of the page does it indicate "United Kingdom" or "United States"?  Not getting redirected to the UK channel store may be another indication.
