Re: v2.8 HLS Aspect ratio problems

Thanks Endless.

I'll take a look at that.

Re: v2.8 HLS Aspect ratio problems

FWIW I checked a bunch of files and found no problems with squished video in the 2.9 beta. I did have my box reboot while listening to Pandora (which is the first time it's happened when I wasn't navigating with the remote), but it did only happen once.

ETA: ...was using Chaneru to test my video.

Since 2.8, not one displays correctly. Note the squash effect can be visually simulated by opening the mp4 in vlc and selecting 'Video -> Aspect Ratio -> 1:1'

Happy to report that aspect ratio under 2.9 beta is as it was in 2.7 using this playback chain:
linux -> mp4 -> mongoose -> roksbox -> N1101(720p, b1509) -> HDMI -> Vizio 1920x1080@720p

Following is a summary sort on 'ffmpeg -i' output for files tested:

Re: v2.8 HLS Aspect ratio problems

Seems I got the 2.9 production code last night. (Checked for update
manually and it said 2.9 x was available, so I updated.)

Works fine with Roksbox. All videos that played fine under 2.7 that
were squished under 2.8, are fine with the 2.9 code I have loaded.
