The unpublished or private channels have been discontinued. They have been deleted. They are gone.
You must use the BETA process and then only a certain number of users are allowed to install.
If you want an application everyone can use you MUST use the standard process to develop an application and publish it to the Roku channel store.

Re: unable to install Unpublished channels
Because there were people creating "unofficial" applications to stream content they might not officially own. It was allowing people to use the Roku platform to pirate from other platforms. Piracy killed the private and unpublished apps. This is why we cannot have nice things.

Re: unable to install Unpublished channels
since Private channels got converted to Beta channels, there are new rules, see https://developer.roku.com/docs/developer-program/publishing/channel-publishing-guide.md#beta-channe...
Says they expire in 120 days

Re: unable to install Unpublished channels
That is not exactly true. It was porn channels by the thousands that led to the unlisted feature to be killed. The lists are still out there for the now non-working channels. Meanwhile over at Fire TV, the Kodi app allows almost anything.
