secure external media from hackers
had the day off work today so I decided to write a small scanner that scans for plex servers.. I was able to log in a handful of servers with full control in under 30 minutes of my time  I then was able to add there server to mine with small effort jfyi.. instead of using port 32400 it would be a good idea to choose another port. just saying!! have fun !!

Re: secure external media from hackers

change permissions from full control of drive to read only. hackers can erase the entire library if they wanted to be a dick
im currently testing the repeated wifi of the roku 3 so far I see 0 security issues.
Happy roku-ing 😄

Or don't run Plex...changing a port isn't going to provide much protection as you could just use a port scanner. Maybe Plex needs user authentication screens added in addition to specifying an IP.
