"gridscreens do not play well with audio of video player"?

In example "UsbGrid", readme.txt says
The usbgrid application shows how to use
roGridScreen inside the usb sample player.
Presently the multiple gridscreens do not
play well with audio of video player so
they still use the standard posterscreen.

Does somebody know what's unwell between roGridScreen and audio/video player?

Re: "gridscreens do not play well with audio of video player

The standard videoplayer seems to be fine now. However, when you load the audioplayer component on a springboard on top of a gridscreen, and then close the springboard screen, the graphics are corrupted on the gridscreen. So you should close the gridscreen, open the audio springboard, and when you're done - close the springboard and recreate the gridscreen again.

how interesting... can inserting a screen in the middle (canvas or other) as a "shim" isolate gridscreen from damages by the player or will the grid get damaged no matter how far removed?

I've tried that - no matter how deep the audio player is buried in the stack, the gridscreen will always corrupt itself if it remains open. At least you can have video screens on top and those work fine.
