how to find if a stream is supported in Roku?
Hi,
I have a stream which is wmv 9 format. How can i check if it is supported by Roku ? any tool to find the media info?
i captured the stream to find the info and this is wat i got
Please let me know whats the best way?

is this a live stream? The only live streaming supported by Roku is HLS, so HLS streaming for example would be pointing the Roku at a m3u8 playlist file

so wm9 is not supported.. Ya its a live stream.. So if we have a stream and it says in windows media player as wmv , can we play?
Other than Hls any thing else for live streams coz i see in the eg that wmv is there for sd ?

WMV is supported for on demand content only. From the Encoding Guide...
The only way to deliver live content on the Roku is to use HTTP Live Streaming (HLS). Video on Demand (VOD) can be delivered via HLS, mp4, and wmv container files.
